Alpine Academy had a wonderful Summer break this year. In July we had many of our young ladies graduate from high school and our program. Each girl was able to have an intimate celebration with her family and home to honor the great work she did during her stay here. Then we had our usual graduation ceremony for the 11 Seniors that completed high school while here. All of our graduates are excited to continue their learning process and will be attending a variety of higher learning programs, from vocational schools to top-tier universities. The class valedictorian encouraged all the girls to remember the great things they have accomplished and use it as a reminder of the amazing things they are capable of. It was a week full of celebration and mixed emotions as so many of our cherished girls moved on to the next step in their lives. We know we can't keep them forever and are happy to have been able to share in their wondrous journey.

A couple weeks following all the celebrations we kicked off our new school year with the annual trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. In addition to the recreational therapy and experiential learning activities, we went on some amazing hikes, swimming in the hot springs and, of course, white-water rafting on the Snake River.

We are looking forward to a fabulous new school year and the many exciting changes Alpine Academy will be seeing this year. Stay tuned….
