Alpine Academy welcomes Mark Dunn to the clinical team. He brings a wealth of experience to our program. Early this year, as an administrative team, we decided that we needed some additional clinical help -- someone that would allow us to decrease each therapist's caseload a bit to improve their job satisfaction. As you know, this is taxing, emotional work that we do. I wanted to take care and be responsive to the therapist's needs, and hopefully insure some longevity from them for us!
"After weeks of interviews and lots of discussion, I feel like we hit the jackpot!" Commented Janet Mulitalo, Program Director at Alpine Academy. "We are happy to add a clinician with Mark's reputation and experience to our team." Mark is a licensed counselor and a certified drug and alcohol counselor. He has worked with a variety of clients over the years in a variety of different treatment settings, and has extensive training in his field. "Mark's vast experience and proven clinical skills makes him a perfect fit for us," commented Janet, "We have assembled quite an impressive staff at Alpine Academy and we are thrilled to have someone with Mark's expertise join our team!"
Mark comes to us with over 15 years of experience. He started his career at Island View, initially in direct care, then advancing into clinical work. After almost 10 years there, Mark moved to the southeast. He worked at Carlbrook and Three Springs, both as a therapist and program administrator in those settings. In 2006, he made the decision to return to Utah with his wife and little boy. In this time, he has been involved with several programs, including some work with intensive in-home services, since his return. Most recently, Mark was the clinical director at a young adult program.
We are thrilled to welcome him to our team and he is looking forward to meeting many of you in the upcoming weeks. Please feel free to contact him if you would like at mxdunn@youthvillage.org
