We are excited to announce that Daryn Reiner has joined our team at Aloft as the Program Director. Daryn has worked in this industry since 2005, working in a therapeutic wilderness program for several years, at an RTC, co-founding a therapeutic day school in Seattle, and 5 years working as an Educational Consultant.

Daryn joined the team at Aloft Transitions in 2014. She has worked in a range of therapeutic settings including a wilderness program, therapeutic boarding school, and a therapeutic day school. Daryn’s love of young adult work began when she worked for several years as a field guide and team leader for a young adult wilderness program. Daryn’s professional life has also included serving as a nuclear engineer in the United States Navy, doing a year of independent humanitarian work in Zimbabwe, serving as the Assistant Head in a therapeutic day school for 2 years, and working as an independent educational consultant for 8 years. Daryn has been, and is currently, a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association in good standing for the past 6 years. Daryn graduated from Seattle University, a social justice institution, with a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology. Daryn is committed to creating an environment for our clients and families where people of all backgrounds and identities feel respected, honored, and safe. Daryn is currently working on her masters degree. Daryn spends her free time with her husband, two year old son, and their two dogs rock climbing, skiing, whitewater kayaking, canoeing, cycling, reading, and traveling.

Aloft Transitions and Therapeutic Gap Year is a residential, life transition program for young adults 18 to 30 years old.
