Two New Therapists
Join Allynwood Academy

We are pleased to announce that two new therapists have joined the therapeutic team at Allynwood.

Samantha Cole, MSW, LICSW is a licensed clinical social worker that comes to Allynwood Academy with nearly 10 years of experience in the therapeutic boarding school setting, most recently at the Academy of Swift River. Samantha graduated from the University of Maryland and received her master's degree in clinical social work with a specialization in children, adolescents and families. Samantha's specialties include DBT dialectical behavioral therapy (intensively trained), cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, strengths based work, psycho education and family systems. Areas of focus include at risk youth, work with male and female populations, complex family dynamics, social challenges, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-harm, substance abuse and trauma. Samantha often employs an optimistic approach in working with others, and believes in the right of self-determination in those that she works with. In her free time Samantha enjoys meditation/mindfulness activities, music, walks, hiking, dance, and spending quality time with her own sons.

Danielle LeMoine, MHC, joined Allywood Academy in December of 2013. Prior to becoming a mental health counselor, Danielle worked as a speech therapist for ten years in public school. A native of New Jersey, she moved to New York seven years ago. Aside from spending time with her two daughters, she enjoys writing and photography.

Both therapists have hit the ground running! We are pleased to welcome them to the team at Allynwood.

Allynwood Academy is a private, therapeutic boarding school for teens at risk, serving grades 9 through 12.
