Adirondack Leadership Partners with Bartky HealthCare

Adirondack Leadership Expeditions, a character-development wilderness program for troubled teens, has announced a partnership with Dr. Eric Bartky and Bartky HealthCare Center, a full-service evaluation and treatment center for children, adolescents and families, to provide supplemental telepsychiatric and video conferencing services to students.

Adirondack is pleased to announce this partnership with Dr. Bartky that represents a real opportunity to better serve the teens that come to ALE. Having a respected, trusted and competent professional such as Dr. Bartky to work directly with teens that are in need, in a collaborative way with our clinical staff, will result in more effective services.

Adirondack Leadership Expeditions' (ALE) treatment team will carefully select appropriate students who could benefit most from telepsychiatry services prior to or following enrollment. The treatment team will collaborate with the student, student's family, and a psychiatrist to provide a thorough assessment, and specialized telepsychiatry and video conferencing services will be provided accordingly.

"I am extremely excited about partnering with ALE to utilize telepsychiatry in providing another unique level of high-quality care to the program," said Dr. Bartky, who is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist and Founder of the Bartky HealthCare Center. "Our goal is to utilize our clinical expertise to ensure students get the very best treatment available."

Adirondack Leadership Expeditions specializes in helping teens ages 13-17 who are exhibiting oppositional defiant behavior as well as entitlement issues, manipulation, low self-esteem, substance use, failure in school or negative peer association. The program promotes personal growth through a focus on insight-oriented experiences. The program's forested, mountainous setting removes urban distractions and simplifies options to help students gain insight into their core values and accept responsibility for their choices.
