Luke Jiles and Donna Short of Acts Adventures visited the Woodbury Reports office recently to discuss their upcoming bike trip to Israel. The deadline for the inaugural trip is March 7, 2013. Young men, age 18-24, who are transitioning from residential treatment centers, drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers, wilderness programs and therapeutic boarding schools may benefit from this trip. Acts Adventures provides a positive missionary environment with individual mentoring to help teach social and emotional transformation as well as training in the areas of leadership/ life skills, film and media production and missionary teamwork.

For this biking and camping trek, a special team of up to seven young men will be led on a cross country bike mission throughout the Holy Land of Israel ending in Jerusalem. Acts Adventures have aligned with Compass International to make this bike pilgrimage safe, fun and life transforming! This International Mission Camp trip will take a month to complete and a passport along with personal insurance will be required in addition to the all-inclusive camp tuition.

According to their website, "Lives will be transformed, minds renewed and the truth of the Holy Bible will come alive as seven young men bike and walk in the footsteps where Jesus walked and talked! From Bethlehem to Nazareth, Mt. Carmel to the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum to the valley of Armageddon. These young Knights will experience Jordan River baptisms, the Garden of Gethsemane, the upper room of Acts, Golgotha (where Jesus was crucified) and the Garden Tomb (where Jesus was raised from the dead). They will float in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, be refreshed in the Red Sea and will visit historic Petra in Jordan. This mission trip culminates in the end with a rare archaeological dig in Jerusalem (the City of David)!"

These young men will gain strength in body, mind and spirit as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime! They will return having done video journals, as part of the program is creating a documentary of their adventure. With leadership and spirit filled teachings from filmmakers Luke Jiles, Jonathan Thulin and David Thulin as well as trip coordination from industry veteran leaders Donna Short and Compass International founder Bill Perkins, these young men will take part in an incredible "Real Life" movie that will help to shape and transform their lives!

The inaugural Israel Bike Mission runs March 27th - April 24th, 2013.

SIGN- UP DEADLINE: MARCH 7, 2013 For information to register, contact Acts Adventures at 208-304-1080.
