Academy at Swift River is pleased to welcome Ann-Mary Cloutier who joined our team in November.
Ann-Mary Cloutier has been a resident of the Pioneer Valley for 25 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, and a Master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College. She is a Massachusetts certified special education teacher who has taught in public schools, independent schools and international-ly. Ms. Cloutier has traveled extensively and has lived abroad both in Spain and in the Republic of Congo where she was a member of the founding faculty for the International School Pointe-Noire.
In her free time Ann-Mary enjoys hiking, skiing and cooking.
My approach to working with students is based on the idea that every child can learn. I believe that education should be individualized to meet the needs of each child and that students learn best when they are engaged as an active participant in their education.
The Academy at Swift River (ASR)is an accredited college preparatory therapeutic boarding school for adolescents ages 13-17. The program focuses on helping teens get back on track by restoring relationships, rediscovering academic success, and preparing them for the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood.
