Paul Hickling New
Executive Director

Paul Hickling joined Academy of Swift River on February 7, 2011 as Executive Director. Paul has over 20 years of experience addressing mental health needs of families and adolescents. He is an established leader with a successful track record managing residential treatment facilities, therapeutic day schools, and charter schools. He has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and has worked directly with youth and families as an inpatient and outpatient therapist for hospitals and community mental health centers. Paul's experience in behavioral healthcare and educational organizations, and his passion for focusing on family systems, will be great assets for ASR, our students and families.

Located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts, Academy at Swift River is an accredited therapeutic boarding school for teens ages 13-17. The program is focused on helping teens get back on track by restoring relationships, rediscovering academic success, and preparing them for the challenges of adolescence and young adulthood.
