Welcomes Jessica Devan
as New Teacher

The Academy at Sisters is pleased to welcome Jessica Devan as part of our Academic Team. Jessica received her BS in Kinesiology from Missouri State University and her MA in Special Education from Southern Oregon University. She comes to us with six years of experience in education as well as a certification in Advanced Mathematics.

At The Academy at Sisters, Jessica has begun teaching both Science and Math. Her background in working with youth in a therapeutic setting as well as her experience incorporating "hands-on" projects and cooperative learning make her an excellent fit for our experiential proficiency-based school model.

The classroom at The Academy at Sisters offers small class sizes and a safe, intimate environment for students to become engaged and reacquainted with the learning process. Jessica looks forward to integrating her knowledge and assisting our students in the empowering process of important skill development, self-advocacy and lifelong learning.

Jessica located to Bend about four years ago to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle available year-round. Her passions include downhill skiing, mountain biking and camping.
