AMATS Executive Director, Jeff Johnson, announced the election of an Executive Committee from the nine provisional members of the recently formed organization. Committee members are Cathy Villines of Center for Safe Youth, Bill Lane of Bill Lane and Associates, and Brian Shepherd of Right Directions.

In addition to the executive committee, the nine provisional members include: Adolescent Guidance Services, Journeys Adolescent Services, Safeguard Adolescent Services, Traverse Youth Transport, Youth Transportation Services, and Westshield Adolescent Services.

"I am in the process of contacting educational consultants, professionals and program directors to ask for their support in referring to AMATS members," said Johnson. "We also continue to reach out to other transport companies who might be interested in becoming a member of the organization."

Founding memberships will be available through the end of July, after which applications will be accepted for general membership only.

AMATS was formed by a group of intervention/transport companies for the purpose of setting high industry standards in an effort to promote professionalism, integrity and quality of service. "We believe this organization will positively affect educational consultants, programs and schools, as well as the families that we serve." said Johnson.

The "Outline of AMATS Standards" recently approved by all members is the foundation upon which AMATS is built and is the criteria for membership in the organization. For further information or for submitting membership applications, contact Jeff Johnson at 435-491-0398 or jjohnson52@mac.com.
