Fellowship Award by AGPA to
AIM House Clinical Director

AIM House Men's Clinical Director, Francis Kaklauskas, PsyD,CACIII, FAGPA, was recently honored by receiving the AGPA Fellowship Award. The award recognizes outstanding professional competence and leadership in his field.

Dr. Kaklauskas has over twenty years of experience in psychology and psychotherapy. As an expert in the fields of human development, family dynamics, cross cultural psychology, the integration of group psychotherapy theory and research, and the practical application of empirically supported treatment protocols, he is a frequent presenter at national and international conferences. For example, he lectured by invitation at The Psychology of Religion Conference in Beijing and presented his cross-cultural teaching experiences in Asia at the American Psychological Association national conference.

Dr. Kaklauskas is also an author of various works. He developed and published the Group Process Inventory, a psychometric instrument that measures a broad range of group events that link process and outcome. He was also the primary psychological consultant and on screen presenter for the best selling three part video series, Hooked: The Addiction Trap, and co-author of the Group Psychotherapy chapter in new edition of widely used text, The Handbook of Clinical Psychology. He has co-edited two critically acclaimed psychotherapy textbooks, Brilliant Sanity: Buddhist Approaches to Psychotherapy and Existential Psychology East-West. Both publications are on Amazon's bestseller list. Now, as an AGPA Fellow, his accomplishments will include serving as member of the training faculty for AGPA and also serving on their national conference committee.

AIM House has had the honor of affiliation with Dr. Kaklauskas since creation of the program in 1999. As Clinical Director, Dr. Kaklauskas is a proponent of and believes in the unique power of the AIM House approach combining mentoring, individual therapeutic work, and group facilitation and community integration.
