						    Bridgton Academy
							 is a college preparatory school devoted exclusively to the education of young men in a postgraduate year. They offer a year that “emulates
							 the college environment and experience, yet has more structure and support than that found in college.”

							 Bridgton Academy is for young men who: may not have performed to potential in high school, finding college choices limited as a result;
							 may need another year after high school to improve academic skills, study skills, and/or self discipline in order to succeed in college;
							 may be graduating a year younger than most classmates and may need additional maturation before college; may have put more emphasis
							 on athletics and less on academics in high school; or may have college choices which no longer match needs and may be beyond the point
							 of beginning a new college search.

							 Bridgton Academy offers “traditional Postgraduate lessons in personal organization and confidence building, combined with the development
							 of genuine intellectual curiosity, that transcends the college years.” The daily class schedule, academic year calendar, use of advanced
							 technology, dormitory life, and athletic programs are designed to reflect what the student may expect in college. Yet, they create
							 a “true transitional year of high school” as a result of their small classes, mandatory evening study hall, faculty who are available
							 throughout the day, into most evenings and who live on campus, and skills-based curriculum that mirrors traditional aspects of preparatory
							 school.
