Saint Thomas More School
Summer Academic Camp
Oakdale, Connecticut
Todd Holt Director of Admissions

The Saint Thomas More School is offering a Summer Academic Camp from June 23 to August 2, 2002. The Summer Academic Camp will serve100 boys who are entering 7th-12th grades, in a boarding school environment that combines academics and summer fun. Some of the students focus on making up credits, while some wish to enhance their skills for the next school year. International students attend in order to learn and improve their English language skills.

Class size at the Summer Academic Camp averages 10 students so that each student has the attention required to help him attain his goals. Four academic class periods meet Monday through Saturday from 8:00-12:00. After lunch, Saint Thomas More becomes a summer camp with activities including tennis, swimming, boating, basketball and weight lifting. In the evenings after dinner, mail is delivered to the boys, and they have free time until their two-hour supervised study hall at 8:00pm. Sunday is an all day off-campus trip.

Saint Thomas More is located halfway between Boston and New York. Bradley Airport is approximately 1 hour away, and arrangements can be made for the school van to pick up a student at the airport or train station.
