Oregon Youth Challenge Program is a state program administered by the Oregon National Guard. The program is highly structured with military discipline, for non-adjudicated high school dropouts and ‘at risk teens’ ages 16-18. The program lasts 17 ½ months, with 5 ½ at the facility and 12 back in the community in the Mentor Phase.

Criteria for eligibility/selection into the Youth Challenge program are that the participant must be a volunteer, a resident of Oregon and a legal resident of the US, in need of high school completion, must have the physical capability to complete the program within reasonable accommodations for physical challenges, and most importantly, must have the desire to complete.

Applications are accepted by mail only and will be followed by a drug screen and a physical exam.
