DAVID VAN BLARIGAN

Last year, David Van Blarigan, from Alameda County in California, was enrolled by his parents in Tranquility Bay, a school in Jamacia. The County Prosecutor went to Court to force the parents to bring David back to California, but was over-ruled by the Judge in January. The story became a national story, with a nationwide debate over parent rights and responsibilities and the effectiveness and appropriateness of boarding schools for children making poor decisions. Woodbury Reports Online will chronicle this ongoing issue, including statements by David, his parents and other contributors to this debate. Go to the StrugglingTeens.com News & Views section.
