Opinion & Essays - Jun, 1996 Issue

*Letters*

Your expertise enabled two desperate parents to be pro- active in their daughter's care. We are so thankful to you for your indispensable guidance and willingness to help..... Thus far, her transition has been smooth into Cascade. Your wise admonition will not go unheeded for the future.
- A Parent from Texas
Lon: I am writing this letter to let you know how much I appreciate the fine service and excellent attention to detail you gave to the sobriety and recovery placement suggestions for my son. You have my most gracious approval. I found Mike clean and sober at the "end of Trek" meeting after the Catherine Freer Expedition and I visited him at Sorenson's Ranch School this week and he is doing better than I had hoped for. Your service extended above and beyond the call of duty and I want the world to know it. You are welcome to use me as a reference and have anyone who is interested call me personally. Again, Lon, I can't thank you enough for your job well done and the extra effort you extended to me. I will recommend you and your services/newsletter to my fellow Toughlove members or to anyone I meet who is in pain over a misguided child.
- Tom Waite, Garden Grove, California
