Fund Raising Road Rally

Allen Cardoza, owner of West Shield Adolescent Services (800-899-8585), in Newport Beach, CA, announced a Road Rally as a fund raising event to help finance the operations of the Right Path Ranch Inc.

Right Path Ranch Inc. is a non-profit corporation to provide a short term, stable environment for children awaiting placement in a school or program. Upon arriving, each child will be assigned a mentor who will listen, acknowledge, provide emotional support and help the child develop responsibilities and understand the consequences of his or her own actions. The children's daily activities will be broken down into group activities, daily living interactions and responsibilities, ranch chores and outdoor recreational activities. During the course of the child's stay, he or she will also start preparation for the school or program that the child will eventually attend.

The Road Rally will start in San Francisco on October 20, 1995 and will follow route 1, arriving at the Right Path Ranch in Angelus Oaks, California the next day, approximately 70 miles east of Los Angeles near Big Bear, California. There will be an auction held at the hotel in Goleta during the night of the stay over, prizes to be given away during the rally, and a barbecue and concert at the completion of the ride. It is expected the rally will attract people from all over the southwestern states.

Some of the proceeds from the Rally will provide a sponsor fund to assist some families financially by providing funds to allow those children to attend the program chosen for them.

The tax deductible entry fee includes hotel, food and fuel. The deadline for this event is September 14, 1995.

Interested riders and potential sponsors should contact Holly Clark or Dodie Pond at 602-953-2400 to request more information.

Tax deductible donations to the Right Path Ranch Inc. can be sent to 10221 N. 32nd Street, Suite D, Phoenix, Arizona 85028.
