Making A Difference College Guide
David Denman, California Educational Consultant, 415-383-1834, is the author of a preface to a book entitled MAKING A DIFFERENCE COLLEGE GUIDE, edited by Miriam Weinstein. The book is a guide for young people who want to know more about careers that "make a difference." His preface is an essay, "College Programs on Peace Studies."

Desert Hills Hospital Elects Vice President
George D. Comerci, M.D., director of pediatric and adolescent medicine at Desert Hills Hospital for Youth and Families in Tucson, Arizona, has been elected vice President of the 45,000-member American Academy of Pediatrics. This means he will take over as president of the organization in October 1994.

Three Springs Promotes Second Employee To Vice President
Jim Payne, hired in 1985 as Three Springs Inc.'s second employee, has been promoted to Vice-President of Human Resources. Christopher Burns, with Three Springs since 1989 assumes the position of Vice-President of Operations. Three Springs is headquartered in Alabama. Three Springs of North Carolina Residential Treatment Center (RTC) has achieved Accreditation with Commendation from the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Jeremy S. Blanton Memorial Scholarship Fund
Three Springs has established The Jeremy S. Blanton Memorial Scholarship Fund for residents who have successfully completed a Three Springs Program. Awards will be given for all forms of continuing education including secondary, college, and vocational training programs.

New Admissions Counselor At Rocky Mountain Academy
Lana Livesey is the newest Admissions Counselor at Rocky Mountain Academy in North Idaho. She has raised four children, owned her own consulting company, directed a school for non-sighted students, and worked as a personnel consultant. She joins Ranel Hanson, and Matt Fitzgerald.

Director Of Education & Training Appointed At Sierra Tucson
H. Stephen Glenn, lecturer for Capable People Associates, has been appointed Director of Education and Training for Sierra Tucson in Tucson, Arizona.

Accredited By The Northwest Association Of Schools & Colleges
Cross Creek Manor and Adolescent Center for Change have been accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. Vivian Fischer, M.Ed. is the Director of their new academic program, The Ronald N. Hatch Academy.
